Santa Land

Well, we made it to Santa Land this evening, and it was so much stinkin' fun I left in tears. Kennedy continuously shouted "lickie(look)mama lickie", she was fascinated, and not only with the lights but with Santa too. Mark and I were so proud of our little 2 year old. She was so excited to sit on Santa's lap and right away she told him she wanted a ball bat for Christmas. It was SO sweet. As you can see in the pictures we dressed the girls in their matching pj's to not only make bedtime easier but also in hopes to get some really cute pictures of them with Santa.........and it worked! By the time we got home the girls were wiped out and ready for bed and mama got her pics. :)

I hope all of you are enjoying the holiday season as much as our family.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!!!!!

The Elliott Girls

Yesterday Kennedy turned 21 months and Reagan turned 1 week. My-oh-My how time flies!!
We are beginning to figure things out! We have a long ways to go, but its starting to come together at the Elliott house hold. Mark and I both want to send out a HUGE thank you to our mothers. You both are amazing women, and we would be going completely insane without the two of you. Thank you both for all that you do and all that you have done.........we love you!

Here are a few pictures taken over the last week. Give us a few more days, a few more hours of sleep, and I promise more updates.

Hangin' In

Just a quick update on our little bundle we are waiting to meet. We are 38 weeks and a few days, and we are ALL so ready to meet this little girl, and she seems to be ready to meet us too! She is very active with lots of funky moves, and I am having lots of contractions morning, noon, and night.

She is on her way:)

We will keep you posted!!!

31 weeks already!!!

Time sure is flying!! Here is a picture of little Reagan at what will hopefully be our last ultrasound. Just like Kennedy did at this age, Reagan too, does not cooperate during these procedures. She almost instantly puts her hands and feet right in front of her face, and pretty much stays in that position for the remainder of the test. We do know she is growing right on track. They are estimating her weight at 3.5lbs and she is 6 days shy of her 09/09/09 due date. We are all counting the days until her arrival. We have started to prepare as much as pssible for a newborn. She will be here soooooo soon:)

A little update on Kennedy.........

This is where we spend ALOT of time!!

Nothing like a little naked yard work;)

This is one of her favorite outfits....

Notice all those long curls in the last few pics, well there all gone. Last week when we were home for the long weekend we had our first hair appointment!! She is such a BIG girl, and was such a GOOD girl during her hair cut.

A few more pics of her curls...

Bye,Bye Baby Mullet(I know I shouldn't have waited this long, but those curls were just soooo dang cute)

Here are just a few of Kennedy and her cousin Cole decorating cupcakes on the 4th!!

As you can see the kiddos had a blast decorating and eating their cupcakes!
Thanks Shannon for such a fun activity and for bringing all the supplies.

Well, Goodbye for now.

Hope everyone is enjoying the summer, and staying cool.

Hope all is well with everyone:) Sorry so short, but I'm off to bed Kennedy and I have a day of traveling and house hunting tomorrow.

It's been FOREVER!!!

Hello to everyone!!! I am officially the BIGGEST blog slacker ever ;) For those of you who don't know, the Elliott's are currently living in Mississippi (what a fun word to write). We left Louisiana mid-march and moved east to a small town on the Mississippi River. We are adjusting to the Missippi (we've learned that this is the correct pronunciation) ways. We should be finishing up here some time in August and heading home just in time for the delivery our next little blessing. Speaking of blessings, our little Kennedy is growing up so fast! Every day is something new! She makes us laugh, cry, and scream all in the same breath. We haven't visited the doctor lately (which is totally fine by us) so I don't really have any current stats on her. But I do know she is weighing in at a whopping 19 1bs. And is still eating like her uncles most days. Some of her favorite things right now are, playing outdoors, strawberries, anything to do with water(swim class, bath time, the fountains downtown, water is even one of her favorite drinks right now). She loves M&M's and if it were up to her she would eat them for every meal, along with ketchup, and horseradish. She has developed a love for dancing. Any kind, she can fast dance, slow dance, and sometimes we even find her doing some type of tap dancing (grandpa taught her this, he calls it river dancing). Elmo is by far her favorite character and she could watch this red fuzzy crazy speaking creature all day if we'd let her. She's a climbing fool!! She hangs out on top of the kitchen table, the back of the couch, chairs, step ladders, and she tries but has yet to master climbing out of her crib and over both baby gates in the house. She is busy, very busy. She keeps us on our toes, literally on our toes, most days Mark and I find ourselves sitting down for the first time at dinner time, then up on our feet again till some time after 8:30(Kennedy's bedtime.......boy do we love this time of the day;)) It is at this time Mark and I sit and catch up with each other. The evening usually ends with us in bed by 9!!!
My pregnancy is, well, let’s just say it’s going. I suffer from heartburn pretty much all day every day (which I have never had, not even while pregnant with Kennedy). This has been very difficult to get use to. However, it has helped me on watching what I eat. I'm drinking LOTS of milk (they say this helps with HB) and I make sure I eat very small portions. This has really helped with weight gain :):) We are in week 19, and have our first appointment here in MS this Thursday. We are hoping to find out the sex. I will be sure to post either way (I swear). Soon we start our 12 week natural childbirth class. It's hard to believe it’s already time to begin preparing for delivery. This time around we are doing what they call a refresher class. We will do the majority of the classes just Mark and myself. Then when we get home we will do a few sessions with our instructor. We are both looking forward to sharing this time together again.
Other exciting news, this Friday I leave for a long girl’s weekend in Florida!!! It will be the longest I have been away from Kennedy. This makes me sad, but I know she will be in great hands (thanks mom & dad). I am really looking forward to catching up with my Florida buddies and some “me” time! Shortly after I get back Kennedy and I leave for Iowa. We will spend a week with my in-laws; we are super excited for this trip. From Iowa we will leave for Illinois, here we will spend time visiting with my grandparents, aunts & uncles, and cousins (my mothers’ side of the family). This too is going to be tons of fun!! Our last summer adventure will take us back to Texas for a week in June!! Then back to Mississippi for the month of July, then home sweet home in August!!!!!!!!
Well, this is super long, guess that’s what I get for updating every 3 months ;) I hope all is well with everyone, and you all are enjoying the spring weather!

I’ll leave you with a few recent pictures

Cooking 101

This is Kennedy standing on top of her stove. I'm not sure how she managed to get there, or what she is looking at out the window??? But I did see her jump/roll off, laugh hysterically and attempt again!!!

I pretty sure I see ER visits in our future;)

Swim Lessons

Yesterday Kennedy and I started a Mommy and Me swim class. We had so much fun and I can't tell you how proud I was of her. She took to the water like a fish. She quickly learned to blow bubbles, swim underwater, and stand(really she danced....quite the character)independently on an underwater platform in the middle of the pool. She was such a BIG girl! At the end of class the kids get to slide down a slide that drops them off in the pool. Kennedy LOVED this and wouldn't stop signing "more, more" to me and her teacher. We both are really looking forward to next weeks class.

Here are a few cute pics taken over the last couple of weeks!!
